Get to know Julia:
This precocious 12 year old (last Nov.) has loved performing since she was a toddler and is no newcomer to the stage. Julia started performing professionally at the tender age of 7 as a member of the 'Jazzkids' in Singapore where her family is currently based. Since then, Julia has had the privilege to perform in the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and last October 2007, in China for the opening of the Suzhou Cultural Arts Centre. Julia's memorable performances in the Philippines include the opening of the 23rd South East Asian Games where she sang the theme song 'We're All Just One; 2006 Philippine Independence Day Performance at the CCP; guest appearances in concerts of Philippine greats like Lea Salonga, Monique Wilson and Martin Nievera; and has had the privilege to perform with celebrated Philippine artists like Ryan Cayabyab, Louie Ocampo, Joanna Ampil, Dulce, Pilita Corales and Jaya. Julia is also one of the featured artists in the UN Millennium Album as the original artist of the song 'Bata Pa Ako'.

In Singapore, Julia typically performs in corporate and national events, as guest artist in Esplanade concerts w/ Asiana, led by Singapore's "King of Swing"Mr. Jeremy Monteiro and has performed on numerous occasions for Singapore President S.R. Nathan, Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew and current Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. Apart from stage performances, Julia occasionally records as voice talent for Ednovation Animated Series (Singapore), was the voice behind the 2006 Sustagen TV/ radio jingle, and has recently recorded the theme song for an animated film by Singapore's Rain Tree productions to be released in 2008.

Julia's greatest passion is singing and was bitten by the 'theatre bug' at age 9 when she played a minor role Auster the Child Fairy in Peter Pan the Musical performed at the Esplanade in Singapore. To date, Julia has to her credit the roles Young Jenny in Andrew Lloyd Weber's Aspects of Love mounted first in Manila (2005) and subsequently in Singapore (2006). Iris in the off-broadway hit Children's Letters to God mounted in Singapore (2006). Julia loves performing in the Philippines and this year she performed in 2 musicals. The 'more mature' Joanna in the Philippine production of Children's Letters to God, and Little Red Riding Hood in Stephen Sondheim's musical, "Into the Woods".

Julia is a 6th grader at the Singapore American School. She has an older brother Joshua, and an older sister Jerone. She believes that God has given her a gift and offers each and every performance to Him.

Commonly known as nikky and was bestowed the nickname billyboxergirl by her close peers. Age is a myth for time knows no boundaries. Being the proud mommy she is, she wastes her days away trying to perfect the art of human anatomy.
