Written by Ms. Confuse on Tuesday, April 01, 2008if your going to buy a memory card or a ram chip you need to know what is the specification of your motherboard and what kind is your old ram chip, and what kind of ram chip does your motherboard use? for example is your old ram chip a ddr, sdram, ddr2 or ddr3? if it is ddr, is it 333, 266 or 400? stuff like that, you can probably look for it in the manual of your motherboard (that is, if you have it) or just try to find out the model of your motherboard and google it and look for the specs. Tell the specs to the salesperson at the store and I'm sure they know what to give you..good luck!
