Kristine Musademba - Pinay Olympic dreamer

She was only seven when her best friend asked her to go ice skating - and she never looked back. Today, 15-year-old Kristine Musademba is a forced to be reckoned within in the sport. This year she came in fourth in the junior ladies' division of 2008 US Figure Skating Championships. Later this month, Kritine will represent the US in the first event of the Junior GrandPrix series of tournaments in France. Not many know that Kristine is half Filipino and Half Zimbabawean. A student of Greorgetown Day School in Washington, she is an only child, she practices her skill on ice three times a day in the summer.

Recently, Kristine was featured in The Washington Post article, Olympic Dreams. Aling with other budding athletes also dream of winning the Olympic gold in the future. "I love skating," she said in the interview with The Washington Post "Nowhere else can you glide and express yourself and learn to emote. And it's very challenging mentally."
