July money supply up 4.1%
Written by Ms. Confuse on Tuesday, September 30, 2008Money supply in July grew 4.1 percent from a year earlier, lower than the 5.1 percent rise in June, although it declined only 0.02 percent on a month-on-month seasonally adjusted basis, the central bank said Tuesday.
The money supply data, one of several indicators used by the central bank in setting its policy rates, was based on a new reporting system that is consistent with international accounting standards.
