Written by Ms. Confuse on Thursday, October 02, 2008

America's award-giving body for the finest work in television has honored a Filipino animator, the Department of Foreign Affairs said Friday in a statement. Citing a report from the Philippine consulate general to Los Angeles, the DFA said Jess Espanola won the 2008 Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program (for programming less than one hour) given by the Academy of Television, Arts and Sciences for his work on "The Simpsons - Eternal Moonshine of the Simpson Mind."

Philippine Consul General to Los Angeles Mary Jo Bernardo Aragon, together with Zen Lopez, former Arts and Culture Commissioner, City of Glendale; Mr. Errol Santos of Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital; and Mr. Larry Pelayo of Asian-American Peoples Journal, congratulated Espanola. Disney and Japanese animation companies are among those that have employed Filipino animators.

Commonly known as nikky and was bestowed the nickname billyboxergirl by her close peers. Age is a myth for time knows no boundaries. Being the proud mommy she is, she wastes her days away trying to perfect the art of human anatomy.
